Jesus performs his first miracle at a wedding in Cana. He gives his new disciples a glimpse of who he is by going above and beyond in providing the best of wine. And this is only the beginning. This sermon will explore how Jesus goes above and beyond any sort of limit that we could possibly come up with.
Psalm 72 can easily seem like a relic of Hebrew thought that has little to do with a Christian in today's world. This sermon dusts the great prayer off, showing that it is a psalm that paints a picture of the Messiah and his kingdom. Through that imaging, the Psalm creates the longing for which it calls, becoming a prayer that calls for what the Psalm describes about the Christ and his coming kingdom.
