Called
(A Sermon based on Ezekiel 18:21-32)
The roles you play are specifically yours. That means that there isn't someone else who is called to fulfill them. You are called to be your child's parent. You are called to be your boss's employee. You are called to be you.
That being said, even though these hats are specifically yours to wear, they don't always look good on you. There are good and bad ways to wear them, and a big part of the challenge you experience as you try to listen to the callings God has given you is to find out how to wear them correctly. Fortunately, the wearing of hats isn't all about rising up to complicated expectations – it's about living in grace, even when we wear it wrong.
