The Resilience of Christmas

A SERMON BASED ON LUKE 1:39-55

This time of year, Christians very rightfully look at Mary and see the first person who receives the news that Jesus is the Christ in faith. She becomes not just the mother of God; she also becomes a model for how faith operates. In this meditation on Mary's song, which we call The Magnificat, we see Mary as a model of how the gospel gives a resilient faith to Christians as we weather our lives, which wait on God and his salvation in Christ.
